Message From The Canmore Hospital Foundation Regarding Recent Cyber Attack

Dear Valued Community Members,

Last week, the Canmore Hospital Foundation fell victim to a sophisticated cyber attack. While no personal or donor information was compromised, fraudulent transfers were initiated from our operating accounts. We detected the issue quickly, and within hours, we engaged cybersecurity experts and authorities to investigate and mitigate the impact.

Even if some of the funds cannot be recovered this will not affect our existing hospital projects, as those budgets are already secured. However, this incident is a setback, and we are working tirelessly to ensure any amount stolen is reinstated.

We remain in close contact with our financial institution and the authorities as we all work to resolve this. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Your continued support is critical, and we hope you’ll stand with us as we move forward.

Thank you for your understanding and for being a valued part of our community.

Sincerely,

Steven Scott, Board Chair and Kristen Pauch-Nolin, Executive Director
