At the Canmore Hospital Foundation, we understand the critical role that medical equipment plays in delivering high-quality healthcare.
Each year, we collaborate closely with our partners at Alberta Health Services (AHS), as well as the dedicated staff and stakeholders of Canmore General Hospital, to support the acquisition of essential medical equipment. From small devices to cutting-edge technologies, these purchases directly enhance the hospital's capacity to provide top-tier care to our community. Whether essential equipment needs to be replaced or upgraded or brand new equipment is being introduced to our hospital, these purchases are essential and play a significant role in the quality of care we’re able to give and receive right here in Canmore. Donated funds provide $150,000 + of new hospital equipment each year. A total of $1.0+ million dollars has been spent on essential hospital equipment needs between 2012 and 21.

Acute Care: Ceiling Lifts, ARJO Century Tub, Patient Lifts, Medication Fridges, Furniture, and more.
Obstetrics: Fetal Monitors, Blanket Warmers, Sleeper Sofas, Books for Babies, and more.
Operating Room: Fluid Control Systems, Electrosurgery Cautery Units, Endoscopy Monitors, and more.
Long-Term Care: Patient Lifts, Specialized Chairs, Kitchen Appliances, Snoezelen Carts, and more.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to corporate partners like Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKS), whose generous donations have significantly enhanced the quality of care at Canmore General Hospital. Through their support, essential medical equipment has been acquired, aiding in the early detection and treatment of cardiac issues. Additionally, the Canmore Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary and purchases at the markets and the Tuck Shop play a role in supporting equipment purchases.
